That my bee and wasp venom allergy is worse than it was when I was younger.

Kinja'd!!!

I was doing yard work and stepped into a yellow jacket nest. Got stung about 10 times. My wife took me to the ER because I started having trouble breathing despite the fact that I downed Benadryl right after I ran into the house.

I'm in a benadryl haze and coming down from an epinephrine high. And the epi'pen was $75.

Be careful out there, oppo.

I've never been stung by either so I have no idea if I'm allergic!

Depends what type of wasp it is. if it's a paper wasp, like the ones in our area, They tend to not give a shit unless you try to hurt their nest.

If I saw that I'd run further than from yellow jackets.

hornets and yellow jackets are both wasps. Wood bees (aka Carpenter bees) sting so rarely and only the females have stingers. My dog chases and eats them. Hornets and paper wasps tend to ignore people unless we go after the nest. Yellow Jackets are far more aggressive. My leg and thumb are itchy as hell

Why don't you carry an emergency medical kit? Thats what I do for my Peanut, Tree Nut, Fish, Seed and medication allergies.

Kinja'd!!!

This is mine, I used an old portable cassette tape case and wrote important info on it in sharpie. I wrote my name, home phone number, instructions if used and identified it as an emergency medical pack. In the past I have used fanny packs, so that would work too.

Fuck a bee. Hornet. Wasp, Fuck em all.

Killed one of these yesterday after it flew into my garage.

Kinja'd!!!

Another one meandered in later and I swear I tried to punch it. It scared me.

Wasps are truly hateful little beasts. Thankfully I'm not allergic to them. Having seen the reaction of someone who is allergic is a truly frightening thing though. Because of that I now carry Benadryl when camping.
